At the invitation of DDEM and BCTC co-president Mr. Georgi Shopov, a six-member Chinese delegation visited Bulgaria from 03-06.08.2014.

The delegation was led by Ms. Guo Xiao Ping, head of the investment and international contacts department of the world-famous SHANGHAI CONSTRUCTION GROUP CO., LTD. /SFECO GROUP/, Mr. Sang Qi, Vice President of Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Leon Liu, Director of Investment Department of Export-import bank of China.

The Chinese guests met with the mayor of the city of Burgas, Mr. Dimitar Nikolov, and two ministers in resignation. Conversations were held and specific ideas for fruitful development were identified with the structures of the Bulgarian Construction and Trade Consortium. The desire of our partners to participate in large-scale construction tenders, investment projects and the creation of a mixed Bulgarian-Chinese company under the aegis of BSTK was confirmed. The delegation also met with Mr. Veselin Koshev – honorary chairman of BSTK and chairman of EDPD. The Chinese partners expressed their extreme gratitude for the meetings held, constructive discussions and the exceptional hospitality shown by the Bulgarian hosts. At the farewell dinner, the heads of the Chinese delegation extended a kind invitation to Mr. Koshev and Mr. Shopov to visit Shanghai in the coming months, and the necessary documents for the official cooperation between our organizations were signed.
